BENJI
Benji is a pet project that features a boy who lives on the divide between a supernatural forest and a small human town. Although he feels a strong bond with many of the creatures in the forest (including his best friend Otto and his mother Alma) he also loves the time he spends with his human neighbors.

Benji and his mother Alma are both based on buff ermine moths. Because Benji is half human, his wings are too small for him to do anything but glide. But because they're so small, they can easily fold up until they are barely noticeable - which allows him to fit in better with the humans. Alma has a full set of wings, and can fly for long periods of time. She is also a very respected mediator in the forest and is often asked to resolve conflicts.

Benji is a very curious boy who is always getting into trouble - but that's just how he likes it. Like his mother, he enjoys mediating - but he is a bit more involved in the problems that he's solving. He also loves pottery and visiting the market.

Otto is Benji's best friend, and is far more cautious than his rowdy partner. Although he won't admit it, he is actually nosier than Benji and likes to know everything that's going on. He enjoys soaking in the river and tasting the human snacks that Benji brings him.

Some other creatures in the forest are Petri, Louie, and the Pepshrooms. Petri is the oldest in a family of root sprites and spends of most their time looking out for their siblings. Louie is a mischevious sprite who loves bugs and the Pepshrooms are a type of tiny sprite with many variants.
